Speech Pathology Rebates
KAV Speech Pathology provides services for adults across Australia. Some clients are eligible to receive rebates from Medicare, DVA, or private health rebates.

Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan
KAV Speech Pathology therapists are registered Medicare Providers.
To be eligible for Medicare rebates you must have a chronic condition that has existed for 6 months or longer. Your GP needs to refer you for the CDM.
Medicare rebates for speech pathology are currently $61.80 per session (correct at June 2026).

Your private health fund may provide rebates for speech pathology services. Please check with your health fund provider before you start the service.
You may not claim a Medicare rebate and a private health insurance rebate for the same service. You may not claim a private health insurance rebate for a session where you have also used NDIS funds.
To claim through your health fund you first need to pay the invoice, then you will receive a receipt which you submit to your health fund for a rebate.
Rebate amounts will differ depending on your level of cover and provider.
Private Health Insurance

You may be eligible for rebates or funding for speech pathology services if you have a Support at Home Package or Commonwealth Home Support Package.
Please speak with your care manager/care partner for more information.
